Tracy Xu, Director of Career Services

Tracy has a diverse coaching background, specializing in areas such as career development, executive coaching, team coaching, and personal development.
Tracy has a unique blend of experiences in global business corporations and entrepreneurial innovation. She has held leadership positions in marketing, strategy and Innovation at multinational corporations across tech, consumer product, sports and media sectors. Prior to these positions, Tracy founded and led several startup companies spanning career development and e-commerce, demonstrating her deep experience with entrepreneurial development.
 
Tracy holds an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in statistics. Tracy enjoys sports including basketball, snowboarding, golfing and hiking, and also likes to explore her musical side through casual play of the guitar and drums.

Jiali Cheng, Manager of Career Services

Jiali is a Suzhou native, she joined Duke Kunshan University in 2018 and is currently leading career coaching and employer relations at Career Services. She has provided 500+ hours of one-on-one career coaching for Chinese and international students and has developed and maintained relationships with 200+ employers, including Fortune 500 companies and leading companies in the industries. She holds qualifications such as GCDF, National Level 2 Psychological Counselor, and Talent Assessor, she also has attended the National Association of College and Employers (NACE) and the National Career Development Association (NCDA) conferences in the United States.

With over ten years of experience in talent development in both corporate and higher education, Jiali has served in different roles such as talent assessor, career counselor, headhunter, board secretary, and head of HR & administrator before joining DKU. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Science from Nanjing Normal University and a Master’s degree in Developmental and Educational Psychology from Shanghai Normal University. Jiali is also a dedicated participant and advocate for the DKU 5K Park Run, and is passionate about promoting local culture, especially Wu dialect.
 

Fei (Sophie) Xue, Senior Officer of Career Services

Sophie, a native of Suzhou, is a GCDF-certified career coach and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in the UK. She has devoted nearly 6 years to research in the field of human resources (HR) and graduated with distinction from the University of York with an MSc in Human Resource Management.

With over 5 years of work experience, Sophie has served as a Graduate Management Trainee in HR function in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. She possesses more than 3 years of experience in campus and social recruiting for multinational corporations in the FMCG, pharmaceutical, and high-tech manufacturing sectors. Her recruitment expertise covers a broad spectrum of roles, including Marketing, Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, and Supply Quality, HR Administration, maintaining an annual recruitment attrition rate of no more than 1%. Sophie has also designed volunteer recruitment and management strategies for a non-profit organization in Malaysia. In addition, she possesses expertise in fields such as talent assessment & development, employment relations, and employer branding.

Since joining Duke Kunshan University in 2021, Sophie currently oversees marketing operations, major events, and data management in Career Services, and is also deeply involved in employer relations and student career support.
 

Rex Zhang, Officer of Career Services

Rex is a passionate educator, with extensive experience in marketing, media, and non-profit organizations. Before joining Duke Kunshan University, he served as a Senior Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble, and a course facilitator at UC Berkeley Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology. He also worked in the fields of diversity, equity and inclusion, sustainability, and leadership development in non-profit sectors. He received his Bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley with Summa Cum Laude (the highest Latin Honor), and was a research assistant at Stanford University. While at UC Berkeley, he was the Chair of International Affairs Committee and appointed representative on the University of California System Level Committee on International Education.

Rex joined DKU in 2023, and is currently developing global graduate school relationships and information sessions and managing externship program. He’s also involved in employer relations, student coaching, among many others. Rex is originally from Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Outside of work, he loves board games and Chinese literature.
 

Mengran Lyu, Officer of Career Services

Mengran, originally from Shandong, brings almost three years of experience in the higher education industry, with a focus on executive education and student career development. She has actively participated in major executive education programs, including Boeing, BD Healthcare, the Novartis Group, etc. Her expertise spans project management, event planning, and administrative management. Mengran graduated from Soochow University with a master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting. During her academic pursuits, she participated in the United Nations document translation projects.

Mengran joined Duke Kunshan University Office of Career Services in 2022 and currently serves as the main person in charge of business case competitions such as L’Oréal Brandstorm and HSBC and is responsible for activity coordination, administrative operations, and resources platform in the office. She is now also contributing to alumni relationship development, student career coaching, employer relations, etc. Outside of work, she loves animals and often helps feed stray cats and dogs.
 

Xiaohan Xu, Officer of Career Services

Xiaohan is from Shandong, and has worked as HR in the industrial Internet and FinTech companies for more than 2 years. She has work experience in multiple HR modules such as performance management, compensation management, talent recruitment and development. She has led the reform of compensation and performance plans for around 300 employees and promoted organizational structural changes. She is familiar with campus and intern recruitment, with recruiting positions involving finance, legal, product operations, government relations, public relations, and marketing functions. She holds a Master’s degree in Management from the University of Bristol in the UK.
 
Currently, Xiaohan manages student resume services, internships, and job postings from employers. She also supports student coaching service, office marketing operations, employer relations, and event organization.

Flora Liu, Officer of Career Services

Flora received her master’s degree in human resources from Durham University in the UK and has been working in the HR field since graduation. She has nearly 3 years of campus recruitment experience in Mars China, where she completed multiple campus recruitment and early talent program operations. Before joining DKU, she had experience in campus recruiting in the FMCG industry and financial consulting industry, which involved campus recruiting for management trainee, sales, R&D, supply, accounting, consulting, and other functions. In addition, Flora has also accumulated experience in the areas of employee development and university-enterprise relations.
 
Flora holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Durham University in the UK. Currently, Flora is responsible for student resume revision and overall support for the office’s marketing operations, employer relations and event organization, etc.. Originally from Sichuan, she enjoys tasting and cooking food, playing badminton and traveling in her spare time.
